Article abstract:
Introduction & Objective: The aim of this study was to evaluate the life satisfaction and mental health of the operating room staff of Shahid Faghihi Hospital in Shiraz since the beginning of Covid 19 pandemic. Materials & Methods: The study was descriptive-analytical and the research method was survey using a questionnaire. The statistical population consisted of all operating room staff of Shaheed Faghihi Hospital in Shiraz, which has 120 people. Using Morgan table, a statistical sample of 92 people were selected. For data analysis, SPSS software version 22 was used. Results: Hypothesis testing there was a significant positive relationship between life satisfaction and dimensions of mental health such as "self-acceptance", "positive relationship with others", "self-control and control environment" and "purpose in life". With increasing life satisfaction score among the personnel of the study population, four dimensions of mental health also increase and vice versa. Conclusions: In explaining the research hypotheses, it can be said that life satisfaction has a significant and close relationship with the dimensions of mental health, so it seems that these factors are decisive in mental health and life satisfaction among the study population. Also, considering that the present study was conducted on the operating room staff of Shahid Faghihi Hospital, it is suggested that this study be conducted in a larger volume and with other sampling methods so that it can be generalized to a wider community.
