This deformity has influence on all structures, including ULC of the nose, its thickness, elasticity, and shape. Considering this anomaly in crooked nose patients and try to correct it, may have a positive effect on our surgical result. Materials & Methods: Eighty nine rhinoplasty patient’s chart were reviewed for middle vault asymmetries and surgical procedures performed for each case were reviewed. Results: Asymmetric upper lateral cartilages were observed in 81% of cases (72 cases), and 30% of total cases had straight septum with asymmetrical upper lateral cartilages (27 cases) which needed some intervention. Conclusions: The crucial point in correcting crooked nose is to keep in mind the upper lateral cartilages deformities and trying to make them more symmetrical by septal straightening. This is effective in preventing the recurrence of the problem after surgery. زمینه و هدف: رشد غیـر قرینه بافت استخـوانی صورت در میان بیمـارانی که تحت راینوپلاستی قرار می‌گیرند، به وفور دیده می‌شود. این اختلال شایع بر تمام اجزای صورت، از جمله غضروف فوقانی خارجی اثر می‌گذارد. این رشد نامتقارن می‌تواند موجب تفاوت در ضخامت، قوام، انحنا و خاصیت ارتجاعی غضروف‌های فوقانی خارجی شود. نادیده گرفتن این عدم تقارن تأثیر قابل توجهی در نتیجه راینوپلاستی خواهد داشت، به ویژه در بیمارانی که از کجی بینی رنج می‌برند. مواد و روش‌ها: پرونده‌های 89 بیمار که به طور پیاپی توسط یک جراح تحت راینوپلاستی قرار گرفته بودند مورد بررسی قرار گرفت، تا اختلالات قسمت میانی در آنها مشخص شود و اقداماتی که برای هر بیمار به طور خاص انجام شده بود، بررسی گردد. یافته‌ها: از 89 مورد راینوپلاستی، در 72 بیمار (81%) غضروف فوقانی خارجی نامتقارن وجود داشت. حدود 30% بیماران (27 مورد از 89 بیمار) همراه غضروف فوقانی خارجی غیر قرینه، سپتوم‌های صاف داشتند، که ترمیم کجی بینی در آنها علیرغم صاف بودن تیغه میانی بینی الزامی بود. نتیجه‌گیـری: در نظر داشتن عدم تقارن غضروف فوقانی خارجی در یک بینی کج و تلاش برای اصلاح آن، در کنار صاف کردن سپتوم، نقش کلیدی در کاهش بقایای انحرافات قسمت میانی یا بروز مجدد این عارضه بعد از جراحی دارد. https://ijs.ir/article_730419_7d5daeb5b323c7bd5106f4cc92b20583.pdf
