Article abstract: Pancreatic injury is the fourth most common solid organ injury, following the spleen, liver, and kidneys. For both penetrating and blunt pancreatic injuries, the presence of main pancreatic ductal injury is the major determinant of surgical procedure. The complete pancreaticoduodenectomy is often the choice of treatment on the surgeon confronting for an injured pancreatic head particularly in the presence of concurrent duodenal injury and is the greatest challenge for trauma surgeon. A-10-year old boy refers to emergency department with the complaint of ongoing abdominal pain after hitting of a bike handlebar to his abdomen; He underwent laparotomy and whipple procedure.
