Refractory diseases are associated with certain legal aspects due to the nature of the disease and their incurability, which should be considered comprehensively. In some case, patient encounter a costly, painful, long lasting and aggressive death process which bring them tremendous suffering and distress. In fact, the proper treatment should be centered on ethical issues. In this paper, we attempt to investigate these kind of ethical consideration related to the patient and their families’ rights, including high quality care at the end of life, meeting the patients’ need and expectations, helping the patients to strengthen their relations, respecting their culture, medical wills and euthanasia.
