Abstract
Introduction & Objective: The aim of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness of group hope therapy on increasing the resiliency and hope of life in with breast cancer. Materials & Methods: This study was conducted by quasi-experimental method. The population included all women breast cancer inpatient in Shiraz Motahari hospital, and the sample consisted of 30 participants in a control group and experimental groups, who were selected by convenience sampling. For measuring variables Connor and Davidson resiliency questionnaire (2003), Snyder hope scale (1991) and hope therapy training package was used. To analysis of data univariate and multivariate analysis of covariance was used. Data was analyzed by SPSS 21. Results: The results showed that group hope therapy can increasing the resiliency and hope of life in women with breast cancer. Conclusions: To improve cancer patients’ quality of life, presenting educational services and hope promoting program can be effective.
