Abstract
Funding for research in different parts of the world has its own characteristics. Funding in North America is generally available to citizen physicians, but it is also possible when there is a connection with European centers. There are cases where colleagues have been able to obtain research funding after contacting a joint European or North American center. These cases are more common with funding from companies and are less likely to be available from government sources. The following material is written for colleagues who are looking to participate in research projects in North America to strengthen their resumes.
