Abstract
Heart disease is one of the strongest predictors in prognosis of patients after a non-cardiac surgery. These patients take a variety of medications with potential impact on their peri-op care. As life expectancy increases globally, the need for various types of surgeries is growing. Furthermore, cardiac medication usage on a daily basis is on the rise as well. That’s why management of medications for cardiac patients is crucial. This article reviews the management of cardiac medications before and after non-cardiac surgeries.
