Abstract
Note: With great regret, in October 2018, Shiraz Medical School lost one of its pioneering and great professors. A professor who, in addition to being a scholar, was a noble and compassionate human being, humble and full of kindness, and was considered a model of knowledge and ethics. We express our condolences to his esteemed family, colleagues, and the esteemed medical community of the country.
