Abstract
Dr. Manouchehr Amirfaiz, professor and specialist in pediatric surgery, was born on October 13, 1938 in the Shah Abad neighborhood of Tehran. He completed his primary school education at Manouchehri School and his high school education at Alborz High School in Tehran. During this period, while paying sufficient attention to his studies, he continued his track and field sports to the point of becoming a national champion. After receiving his diploma, he went to Germany and in the post-World War II era, he was able to enter the general medicine course at the University of Tübingen. After succeeding in this course, he began the specialization in general surgery (as the first foreign resident) at the same university and successfully completed this course after 5 years. Dr. Manouchehr Amirfaiz entered the field of pediatric surgery with the interest he had developed in pediatric surgery and with the support of Professor Flach and successfully completed this course.
