Abstract
Funding for research is a primary, major and often unattainable challenge for researchers. In countries such as Iran, the path to funding research often has to be aligned with public opinion. In European countries, there are numerous funding centers, but there is a very high competition to access them. Some of these institutions, often universities, have special quotas for African-Asian countries. This article provides general information about the challenges of obtaining research funding in European countries.
