The Iranian Journal of Surgery pursues the following objectives:
- To publish original research articles, review papers, case reports and experiential studies in the field of surgery and related disciplines.
- To present innovative methods, new techniques and clinical achievements in the surgical field.
- To provide a platform for scientific interaction and knowledge exchange among surgeons, researchers and students at national and international levels.
- To address research challenges, operational issues, and economic and social barriers related to surgical patient care.
- To promote innovation in surgical education, skill-training, teaching methods and the apprenticeship of young surgeons.
- To feature special invited sections and important articles on current and interdisciplinary topics in collaboration with guest editors.
- To enhance the quality, citation potential and scientific impact of the published articles.
- To uphold the principles of publication ethics, transparency in peer review, conflict of interest and copyright.
